She claims she prefers things this way.Her mother, Tutula Tula, established herself as an Ul'dahn handwash and dry cleaning garment care professional in the moons following the Calamity- one of many invisible industries supporting the upkeep of fashionable households.Rumors say she used to work out at the Golden Bazaar, widowed by fierce caravan consolidation politics, and had supported her girls after the misfortune that claimed both her husband and father by dominating quick and reliable turnaround laundry for merchant's kurtas.Paparva and her two sisters have assisted their formidable matriarch ever since their move to Ul'dah, establishing reliable and discreet linens and delicates services to many desperate domestic laborers short on time and sympathies.Tutula's parlor was established as a place of sanctuary and solace for housemaids, her modest flat and basement/inner courtyard laundry threading the needle and scouring the evidence all manner of vicious and petty gossip. Despite her outward appearances of upholding tradition with reputable propriety, and seeing two of her girls wed, Tutula is also the ruthless beating heart of the Husting's Strip rumor mill.Paparva, her middle daughter, finds herself in a difficult position of being primed to carry on her mother's legacy- but she bears a softened perspective and a daydreamy disposition, alongside her keen wit and careful eye.
